  5. Hi. We have 2 10 month old German shepards. One male and one female. My son moved in a couple of months ago with his 2 year old male dog. Both our male and his have not been desexed. My sons dog is great with all other dogs and our male use to be but over the last month he has become aggressive on lead. He is fine off lead. I think he feels threatened. He has started growling at my sons dog and also has his heckles up. Luckily my sons dog ignores him. We do not want this to get worse or end up with the dogs fighting. How can we stop our male German Shepard from being aggressive towards the other male? Any help appreciated.

  7. My german Shepherd lady is now 11 years old. We rescued her, when she was 11 months old, from a breeding that was nothing but cruel. Since every other dog either frightens her or is a potential rival, she is not really social and we were never able to change that. I always spend a lot of time with her in the forest or our yard but now her hips start to hurt her and she isnt agile enough for the training and playing we used to do. since there are no other dogs to entertain her and I cant really figure out what to do with her she now starts to get easily bored and moody. Do you have any suggestion on how to play with an old dog that cant move that well anymore?

  9. German Shepherd man would you handle a dog that is apathetic to coming to you when called the same way? She just turned 11 weeks and she comes most times but at times she gets puppy ADD and ignores us.

  10. My German Shepard does not like certain people and it’s hard to get him to stop barking at them. His hair raises and he won’t listen to us unless we make him walk away with us

  11. German Shepherd Dog Man, I need help. Do you have a video where you teach us how to walk a German Shepherd Puppy? She just finished her vaccine cycle, so these are out first walks, but she pulls herself a lot.

  12. Good morning, I have a question my dog is a little over two months I’m just worried I was hoping to look for a training facility. But after closely monitoring him he constantly wants to chew on stuff and jump on the kids. I don’t want to keep him outside I want him as an inside dog. The reason I’m waiting on taking him to get trained is because they won’t take him with out his finally set of shots. my question is do you think 4 months is to old to get him trained ?

  14. I have five cats and two boys (8 &11) who would LOVE a dog to play with. I grew up with an AWESOME GS female. I rescued all of my cats, but I think I would go to a reputable breeder for a Shepherd because I want a dog with specific traits. How can you make sure a dog will be good with cats when they are puppies? A cat could be more easily injured than a Doberman male. I wouldn't want to risk my cats getting killed or injured. Also, I'm still working on my husband about a dog, but I would be willing to wait and travel for the right match if we agree a GS is the best decision for our family. Thanks.

  15. I'm new to your channel but I already find so much good information. I do have an issue that I cannot find a resolution for. My German Shepherd, Lily, is going to be 1 next month. She is such a loving dog and wants to be friends with everyone. However, with other animals she does not like it when I personally pet or pick up the other dog. Or she wants to play so badly that she pins them on the ground. Another big issue is that she has separation anxiety. Lily is very attached to me and would prefer to be with me even if we have company over. If she goes in the cage by anyone other than myself she is settled down after a little whining. But there have been many times when I have personally put her in the cage and she will carry on for hours. It's very difficult to sleep at night when your dog is carrying on all night. She has damaged a cage already so the tray is unable to be locked in place. We've had to zip tie the wire cage on the outer edges to make sure that she doesn't get out. We have ended up allowing her to come into the bedroom with us at night and she stays on her bed and doesn't cause us any issues so we feel like that is a solution. We are wanting to get another dog, possibly a male German Shepherd puppy, in another year or so. Is this something that would be considered a good idea? And about the separation anxiety, is there anything you can suggest we do to help this issue? I am all ears on this one.

  16. Can you make a video on how to train your GSD to drop the stick/toy instead of wanting to have a tug of war :O
My gsd always brings back the toy after i throw it but we go to a tug of war before he lets it go. Very dangerous when kids want to play fetch and my gsd overpowers and injures them. :/

  18. I have a question about my new puppy. I always wanted a German shepherd and ended up rescuing a 9 week old German shepherd puppy from a young boy who bought her before making sure he would be able to care for her. I always thought I'd get a puppy from a reputable breeder but this puppy had no where to go and she seems to have a wonderful personality. I am just worried more and more all the time about what might happen because of me not knowing where she came from. Like what if she has aggressive genes or bad genes health wise. Really love this puppy but was it a mistake to get one this way? It was not what I had planned. I'm prepared to train her and have experience training dogs but I still can't help but worry.

  20. Hi GSM, I have a question. I was watching one of your other videos and you responded to someone's comment saying that you trained your dogs to not bark at night. I'm curious as to how you achieved this, as my German Shepherd puppy (7mo) is starting to become more territorial. I don't mind the fact that he barks, I just don't want him to be barking for every little reason. I would greatly appreciate the advice.

  24. I worry about using her pen as a punishment. I was hoping the pen would be a safe place for her. Do you think the dog will hate the pen if I use it for behavior correction.

  25. I have a German Shepherd female, & recently adopted a Shepherd, Golden Retriever mix female. They are insanely jealous of each other. The new female kept attacking my shepherd, who couldn't understand why she was doing this. So she began growling at the new dog, which did not help any at all. So we had to buy a muzzle for the new dog. They are great play buddies outside, but turn on each other as soon as they get inside. What should I do??!!

  40. So right . My latest addition bullied my much older dog and kept biting her tail. Y-Y is a very submissive bitch and Zed is a toughy. I put a stop to it but even now if Zed gets over stimulated she will still nip here tail and gets told off by me as Y-Y simply won't defend herself at 12 years old. So many people treat dogs as humans and that is why loads of dogs have issues. All dogs need leadership and discipline . Great job : )
