  2. You don't have no service dog you don't train animals.

  3. Suggestion, put your treats behind your back, otherwise the dog will focus where the treats are visible, it helps with focusing. This way it looks like the treats are coming out of no where. Also, don't continuosly say a command. If these made sense lol. I'm a service dodg trainer, if you want suggestions, but you're doing great without help!

  5. As somebody who has actually trained real service dogs, this video made me cringe. The hidden prong collar is obvious.

Dogs work for the food. It is not simply handed over on a silver platter. Dogs have to eat, every day. Positive trainers choose to have them earn their food, which they are happy to do. Believe it or not, you work for food every day, too, in the form of a paycheck. But on to the "corrections" bit. In the video I watched, I would advise not using any. Why not? (It's not because we are made of rainbows and sunshine!) Here's why: The dog in this video was ramped up and your "correction" interrupted his going back for more. He did not "learn that he must listen to me" because he is not capable of that level of higher thinking when his emotions are so high after trying to learn something only to receive pain. He only knew that he felt pain around his neck (from the prong collar) in that moment. Period. What he more likely associated and connected that pain event to was whatever he was focused on at the time. Sometimes that turns out to be something else entirely, like when a child is in his direct line of sight. Child=pain. Get it? Not good. Then your next issue will be "My dog hates children and I don't know why!"
