This is an highly developed teaching tutorial that highlights just a single of the Lots of physical exercises that I use to create off-leash trustworthiness in a puppy. It is a terrific exercise for any puppy that is at an ‘intermediate’ level – that means that they can SIT/Stay on-leash reliably in a variety of configurations by way of mild distractions.

Be sure to observe that while you will see me practice this off the leash in the vicinity of the end of the video, it is merely to demonstrate that with lots of practice, this exercise does have simple application. I do not endorse owning your puppy off the leash until you are a hundred% certain that they will Sit/Stay/Occur from a distance or in a secure & enclosed region. The finest strategy is to practice regularly on a Prolonged line. For a lot more information on how I educate ‘come’ & ‘stay’ – please watch my videos on these subjects.

The concept powering this approach is dependent on the Premack basic principle of conditioning. I could make a lot more tutorials on off-leash get the job done. Allow me know if this is one thing you want to see a lot more of!
